1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Shop Cool Stuff is an iPhone app operated by Alessandro Cannas. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app or contact us about it. For privacy questions or requests, email zasilabs@gmail.com.

2. Information processed on your iPhone

You do not need an account to use the app. The product catalog and images are included with the app. Searches, product filtering and Gift Finder answers are processed on your device; the app does not transmit them to us. Saved product IDs are stored locally on your device so you can return to your favorites. We do not receive those IDs or provide a server-based syncing service. Gift Finder answers are held in the current app session rather than stored in our database. The current app does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, collect precise location, or request access to your contacts, camera or microphone. We do not sell information from your use of the app or use it for cross-app targeted advertising.

3. Sharing and external links

If you choose “Share this find,” the app passes the product name and a website link to the iOS share sheet. You choose the recipient and service. That service handles the shared content under its own privacy policy. Merchant links open external websites. Merchants and affiliate networks may receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and browser information, and may use cookies or attribution technologies. Some links may earn us a commission. We do not send your saved list or Gift Finder answers to merchants. Purchases happen on merchant websites. We do not collect payment details or process orders in the app. Merchants handle checkout, shipping and returns under their own policies.

4. Our website

Opening our website, including a privacy or product page, uses your browser and is separate from the app’s local processing. Website hosting may process request information to serve and protect the site. Our website also has browser-based saved preferences, optional Google Analytics and externally loaded Google Fonts. Its privacy notice explains those services and the Analytics settings control. This app policy does not mean that visits to external websites are anonymous or free of cookies.

5. When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the contents of your message and any attachments. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot and handle your request. Our email service provider processes these communications on our behalf. Please do not send passwords, payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information. We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request, keep relevant support records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete it by emailing zasilabs@gmail.com. Some records may need to be retained where required by law.

6. Your choices and deletion

Remove a saved product using “Remove from saved” in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device; offloading the app may preserve it. Device backups and restoration are controlled by your Apple settings and may retain or restore app data. There is no Shop Cool Stuff account to delete. Because we do not receive your locally stored favorites, searches or quiz answers, we cannot access or delete those items remotely. For information you have provided to us by email, contact us to request access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable law.

7. Security and disclosures

We use reasonable measures to protect support information we hold, but no system is completely secure. We may disclose support information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect legal rights or prevent abuse. We do not operate an app backend that stores your favorites or Gift Finder answers.

8. Children

The app is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact zasilabs@gmail.com so we can address it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy if our practices or app features change. We will publish the revised policy with an updated date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.

No account needed

You don’t need an account to browse Coolshit Studio. Our hosting provider may process standard request logs to serve and secure the website.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits, pages viewed, scrolling, product views, merchant-link clicks, and gift-finder starts and completions. Quiz answers, budgets and saved product IDs are not collected. It receives information such as your device/browser and referring site. We disable Google signals and advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded until you opt in.

Your analytics choice

Accept or decline in the notice. Your choice is stored in this browser. Use Analytics settings in the footer to change it at any time. Declining stops collection on this site; withdrawing an earlier acceptance clears our Analytics cookies and reloads the page. Previously collected data is not erased by withdrawing consent.

Saved picks and Studio Buddy

Your saved product IDs and the preference to hide Studio Buddy are stored in this browser on this device. They are not uploaded to our server. Remove a pick with its heart, restore Buddy from the footer, or clear this site’s browser data to erase these preferences.

Search and the gift finder

Search, filters and the gift finder run in your browser. We do not send your typed searches, saved shortlist or quiz answers to Analytics. Quiz answers stay on the page and reset when you reload. The recommendations compare your answers with attributes of the products in our catalog.

Other services

Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives standard connection information. When you follow a product link, the brand or affiliate network receives the visit and may use its own cookies or tracking. Their privacy policies apply there.
