THE COOLSHIT FIELD GUIDES
Holiday gift ideas with a person in mind.
A shortlist beats a last-minute panic. Save a few things you actually love, then shop with the original brands.
Start with the person, then work backward to the present. The reader, the frequent flyer and the friend who hosts every dinner each give you a better brief than a blank holiday shopping list. These are starting points for a deliberate shortlist.

How we chose these
We selected gifts with different interests, price points and practical requirements. Our catalog records dated prices and availability, not holiday discounts or delivery promises. Check the original merchant’s destination-specific delivery estimate before ordering.
This is an editorial selection based on brand information, not a hands-on product test. Prices are USD snapshots before tax and shipping. Each pick links to its details and the original brand.

Before you choose This is a 104-page reading journal for reviews, progress and future reading. It is useful for a record-keeper, less so for someone who dislikes logging a hobby.

Will these gifts arrive before my holiday?
We cannot promise an arrival date. Purchases happen with the original brands; check their current delivery estimate for the recipient’s address, including any processing time, before paying.
Are these Black Friday deals?
No. This is an editorial holiday shortlist, not a deals page. Prices and stock are dated snapshots from the original brands, and the merchant’s current offer may differ.
Where should I start with a fixed budget?
Set a total budget including shipping and tax, then narrow by the recipient’s strongest interest. Our under-$50, host and desk guides can help with smaller item budgets; the gift finder can also narrow the catalog.
Make the shortlist personal.
